Meant as a present for fellow and writer Cristina Chira, this drawing was based on her stories and adventures as a white woman in Uganda. Looking closely to the picture, she is represented in the village along with other characters she mentions in her tales.
One of the things that stood out to her was the red soil of the country which seemed strange for a European and gave the palette for this representation.
